Striker Graeme Armstrong has joined Evo-Stik North side South Shields.
Armstrong, 34, joined the club in the summer of 2016 after winning back-to-back promotions with Darlington FC, and has scored 15 goals in 52 appearances for Spennymoor. He was part of the squad that won promotion to the National League North via the play-offs last season.
The vastly experienced target man started out with Scottish side Annan Athletic before joining Dunston. He became their record goal scorer which led to a move to Gateshead for an undisclosed fee.
After helping the Tynesiders to promotion to the National League, he then joined Harrogate Town before spells with Blyth Spartans and Whitby Town where he scored over 30 goals in one season, winning the Golden Boot award.
Manager Jason Ainsley said: “Graeme has found it hard to get game-time due to him arriving back late for the start of the season through work commitments, and the form of Glen Taylor. We spoke last week and we both felt that at his age it would be in his best interests to go and play football, and I certainly didn’t want to stand in his way.
“We would like to thank Graeme for his time at the club and we wish him well at South Shields.”
