FUTURE FAN SCHEME | U18s go free in February

Spennymoor Town FC has removed entry fees for all young people under the age of 18 for its four home fixtures in February.

The “Future Fan Scheme” discount applies to home league games (excluding the FA Trophy) this month and will be valid from this Saturday’s match against former Football League giants Kidderminster Harriers.

With the Spennymoor team occupying a playoff berth in the National League North, fresh from promotion into the league, the club is making a concerted effort to improve attendances and attract more supporters of all ages to The Brewery Field.

Bradley Groves, Chief Executive of Spennymoor Town FC, said: “Our fans have shown terrific support throughout the season and we are going to need them now more than ever.

“We have four more home games during February and we hope to see as many people there supporting us as possible.

“We’re acutely aware of making Spennymoor Town an attractive proposition for younger people, so the Future Fan Scheme aims to create a new generation of supporters, whilst also boosting our attendances short-term.”

Jason Ainsley salutes the home fans at The Brewery Field

Jason Ainsley, Manager at Spennymoor Town, said: “Many don’t understand just how significant the impact of a good, supportive crowd is at this level of football.

“Our fans have been incredible all season.  The scenes when they followed us in huge numbers to Bootham Crescent in York made for a special day.  They’ve made The Brewery Field a fortress and the players and I really appreciate it.

“We hope this scheme attracts even more young people to experience the hugely enjoyable atmosphere at Spennymoor Town.”

The home games this offer applies to include:

  • Kidderminster Harriers (10 Feb)
  • Nuneaton Town (17 Feb)
  • AFC Telford (20 Feb)
  • Boston United (27 Feb)
