Spennymoor Town has announced free bus travel for supporters to next Saturday’s crunch clash with Stockport County.
Today’s 1-0 victory over Leamington meant Jason Ainsley’s side made it seven league wins in a row and closed the distance to top-spot Chorley to just one point with a game in hand.
With second-place Stockport in FA Trophy replay action this week, the Moors will go to Edgeley Park fresh and full of confidence, hoping to leapfrog the Hatters into second place.
Managing Director Tony Wilson has this evening spoken of the importance of maintaining the club’s current momentum.
He said: “We want as many supporters as possible to back us at Stockport next week, so the Chief Executive has once again agreed to put on free bus travel.
“The game could have a major impact on the season and Jason always speaks of how much the players can be lifted by the atmosphere our fans generate. They did that again today at The Brewery Field and the players were straight over to thank them at full time.
“Earlier this season we lowered travel costs for away games. We’ve since put free busses on to Darlington and lowered adult admission prices for home games. We have more special events planned before the end of the campaign.
“The club is doing its utmost to make following the team as easy and affordable as possible. Now it’s over to our supporters to do their bit.”
Supporters’ coaches will leave from The Moors Tavern next Saturday morning at 10:30AM.
The deadline to book your place is 12:30 on Thursday 28 Feb 2019.
