Spennymoor Town has today made its first pre-season friendly announcement.
The club is delighted to say that we will host Blackpool FC on Saturday 13 July at Shildon AFC’s Dean Street, with a 3:00pm kick off.
The Brewery Field will still be undergoing improvement works at this stage and will not be ready to host a game.
Attendance prices will be announced closer to the time.
Manager Jason Ainsley said: “This will be a superb occasion for the club and the squad, playing against a League One side who were in the Premier League as recently as 2011.
“We’d also like to thank Shildon for working with us to allow this fixture to happen whilst our ground is still out of action.
“I look forward to welcoming Terry McPhillips and his players to the North East on what will be a stern test for our lads. It’ll be an enjoyable day to judge where our squad sits and prepare for a massive season in this club’s history.”
Spennymoor Town Managing Director Tony Wilson said: “I’d like to thank David Dent at Shildon for allowing us to use their ground and I look forward to what should be an enjoyable day out this summer.”
