REASONS TO WATCH MOORS TAKE ON SOUTHPORT
TWO IN FORM TEAMS GO HEAD TO HEAD
Saturday’s fixture is rightly being covered as the main game for the Non League Paper. The National League North’s two in form sides meet at The Brewery Field, adding to the already exciting appeal of the fixture.
Moors have collected 13 points from their previous five league games, while Southport have claimed one point fewer in the same period. Both sides have scored 11 times, while Moors boast the stronger defensive record, conceding two to the Sandgrounders’ five.
SEE THE ONGOING WORK AT THE BREWERY FIELD
If you were somehow unaware, there is plenty of work happening at The Brewery Field. After the final ball was kicked at the end of last season, the pitch was dug up and the new surface work began. If you haven’t seen our time-lapse of some of the work click here.
With the pitch now fully complete, work on other parts of the ground is almost complete. A new stand, club house, club shop and more have been ongoing over the past few months. Come and see the amazing progress!
ARMED FORCES DAY AS MOORS REMEMBER
With Remembrance Sunday on the horizon, the club are marking the occasion with a special ceremony, as well as offering free entry for veterans and armed forces personnel.
There will also be an appearance from Bishop Auckland’s 8th Battalion Rifles who were part of our ceremony one year ago.
In addition, a wreath will be laid on the pitch pre-match and a bugler will play the last post live. Collections will also be held at the game.
POP UP SHOP READY FOR THE GAME
You can get your hands on Spennymoor Town replica merchandise at the game from our pop-up shop in the match day marquee. The temporary shop will be selling home and away kits in adult and junior sizes, as well as a range of limited training wear such as polo shirts, coats and hoodies.
The shop will house merchandise until our brand new unit is complete and opened later this month.
YOU CAN PAY BY CASH OR CARD ON THE DAY!
