The deadline to convert your season ticket into a streaming pass is 10pm this evening (Friday 2 October) ahead of the club’s first live broadcast on Tuesday evening against Farsley Celtic.
An announcement explaining the three options for season ticket holders was released yesterday, following confirmation that the 2020/21 National League North season will commence as planned next week without supporters in attendance.
The club has worked hard over the last week to create a Moors TV Live streaming option, which will provide high quality live video coverage of all Spennymoor Town matches this season. In line with the club’s Affordable Football For All strategy, this will be available on a game-by-game basis at an affordable price.
Season ticket holders have paid a maximum of £6.19 (adults) per game to purchase their ticket. The Moors TV Live stream will be priced at £6.00 per game to watch, which can be accessed by anyone, regardless of whether they are a season ticket holder.
Tony Wilson, Managing Director of Spennymoor Town FC, said: “We have made significant investment in the ground once again, following on from the foundations which were laid in 2019.
“These ambitious improvements are now unable to be utilised this season and cannot pay for themselves through trade and sales.
“This means the club must make up this shortfall.
“A second tier on The Neil Adams Sports Bar, which will act as a hospitality suite in the future, along with a mega screen and two fan zones are exciting new additions which will be out of use whilst matches are played behind closed doors.
“We are disappointed that our supporters will have to wait to experience the brand new Brewery Field facilities, but we now need their support moving forward as we enter a unique period in the club’s history.
“The investment made to ensure the club will be providing the highest quality live streaming service in non-league football was intended to give our supporters the best possible experience from the comfort and safety of their homes.
“We now need supporters to get behind our streaming service and stick with us during this unprecedented period.”
