Spennymoor suffered their first home defeat of the season despite a spirited second half performance against York City.
Moors dominated the majority of the game but were shell-shocked after the visitors scored three goals in the space of twelve first half minutes.
Joe Tait was twice adjudged to have handled in the penalty area, resulting in Jon Parkin netting twice from the spot in quick succession.
Parkin then fed Louis Almond who calmly slotted past Dan Lowson to give the Minstermen an undeserved three goal advantage.
Moors battled back in the second half and won a penalty of their own when the referee spotted another handball, this time from Daniel Parslow, after a scramble in the box.
Tait stepped up and sent Jon Worsnip the wrong way to give the home side a glimmer of hope. It was the centre backs second goal in successive games following his spot-kick against Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday.
Glen Taylor had a great chance to pull another back but he saw his shot well saved after Ramshaw had found him at the back post.
Mark Anderson, who made a significant impact of the bench, curled a delightful shot onto the post with fifteen minutes remaining, but he wasn’t to be denied ten minutes later when he cooly slotted beyond Worsnip after being put through by David Foley.
Anderson had a golden chance to level proceedings in the closing stages but he couldn’t turn home after good work from Taylor and Foley.
York put a layer of flattering gloss on a poor performance after Dan Lowson’s poor clearance fell to the feet of Kaine Felix, and the substitute found an empty net from 35-yards.
Moors remain fifth in the Vanarama National League North with 15 points, one point ahead of York City who are now eighth. Three points now separate AFC Telford, in 14th, and Moors, nine places above.
