Striker David Dowson has joined Northern League Division One outfit Consett in a one month loan deal.
The 28-year-old, who has scored 12 goals in 54 appearances for Moors, has found minutes hard to come by this season in the Vanarama National League North. Dowson scored eight times during last season’s play-off winning campaign in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division.
He boasts an impressive list of clubs on his CV, including Sunderland AFC, Durham City, York City, Chesterfield and Darlington.
Consett are currently 9th in their division having picked up nine points from a possible 15 so far this season.
The club have released the following statement regarding the loan signing of Dowson:
“We are delighted to announce the signing of David Dowson on a loan basis from Spennymoor Town. Consett AFC would like to thank Spennymoor for their help and the excellent relationship between the two clubs.”
