Six Spennymoor Town players have signed contract extensions to keep them at the club until May 2019.
Mark Anderson, Jamie Chandler, James Curtis, Andrew Johnson and Shane Henry have all committed their futures to The Moors, with an option to extend to May 2020.
Robert Ramshaw, who yesterday received an ‘England C’ international call-up, has also renewed his deal.
Spennymoor currently sit seventh in the National League North table with as many as five games in hand on the teams above them. Postponements have so far disrupted the start to 2018, including the big FA Trophy replay with Bromley FC.
Manager Jason Ainsley has signalled his delight at keeping hold of a key group of players that have already proven themselves at National League North level.
He said: “It’s a crucial point of the season and we wanted to reward the lads who’ve done the business for us.
“We want them to enjoy their time at the club and we think that’s the case considering they all signed very quickly after being made their offers.
“We wish them all the best and continued success at Spennymoor Town FC.”
