Moors signed attacker Kempster from York City on a two-month loan deal in November 2018. The 23-year-old joined York City in February 2018 after scoring a hat-trick on trial in a reserve game against Hartlepool United. He had previously trained with League Two side Port Vale, where he scored twice in a reserve game at Bradford.
Kempster has played the majority of his career at Whitley Bay, where he scored 54 goals in 208 appearances, making his debut at the age of 18 against Moors in 2013. He gave up jobs as a PE teacher and barman to go full-time with the Minstermen and scored two goals in eight first team appearances.
His initial deal with York expired after the final game of the 2017-18 season but the attacker was rewarded for his performances with a new one-year contract. The forward has made four appearances this season and has scored two goals for Sam Collins’ side.
