The biggest season in the history of Spennymoor Town FC is now upon us. Tomorrow sees the first fixture of the new campaign at home to former Football League giants Stockport County.
As previously announced, a series of impressive new developments have been made at The Brewery Field, which will result in a dramatic improvement in the match day experience. With these upgrades come some new arrangements to be communicated here.
For the majority of fans, a significant change will be the relocation of the bar and catering facilities from the Ramside Estates Main Stand to the North East corner of the stadium. They will now be housed in a supporters’ marquee.
Bradley Groves, Chief Executive of Spennymoor Town, said: “We’ve made no secret of the superb support the club receives from Ramside Estates, so that’s why we’re thrilled that they are now taking over all match day hospitality.
“The supporters’ marquee will mean that this facility is bigger and better than ever for fans, with higher quality food and drink and much more room. With the step up in quality on the pitch, we responded to comments from our supporters to match this off the pitch and we’ve certainly managed to do that.”
Gates are open at the Brewery Field from 1:30pm until 5:30pm.
The players and officials will enjoy refreshments in the supporters’ marquee post-match and mix with any supporters who decide to stay, where the match sponsor will pick and present the game’s ‘man of the match’ award. The match sponsor for this weekend is Great Annual Savings Group.
Ramside’s involvement continues with significant contributions to renovations in the main stand.
Mr Groves continues: “Ramside have completely renovated the upstairs of the stand, creating a stunning Platinum Club Suite and a new fully-furnished Board Room.
“The work they’ve done is fantastic and the Platinum Club experience is going to be second to none at this level with a champagne reception and a hot fork buffet from award-winning caterers, along with copies of our upgraded match programmes and panoramic views of the pitch.
“We’ve coupled this with improvements to facilities all over the ground. Refurbished toilet blocks; an altogether new toilet block; extra on-site parking; pitch improvements; and our eye-catching branding project are all now in place, with much more still to come in the next few weeks.
“Even The Moors Tavern is in on the act, announcing a new carvery menu launching this Sunday.”
The Tavern will open its doors from 11am, just 80 metres from the Tyne Crescent turnstile at the ground and welcomes all supporters, home and away. It will be showing Sky Sports and BT Sport all day pre and post-match.
If you have any specific queries during your visit to The Brewery Field, please direct your query to a match day steward, who will be more than happy to help.
