The club has launched its new home kit to positive reviews over the last 24 hours.
The classic black and white shirt will be joined by white shorts and socks this season.
The natural response to the launch has been a clamour to purchase the shirt. The club has also received a number of enquiries around purchasing the new goalkeeper jersey. We don’t usually get this request and are going to make the shirt available to pre-order too.
It is recommended that you buy a size up from your regular size.
Pre-orders are now open to buy the shirts through the club website, which have an estimated delivery date of the last week of August 2019.
Delays this season
It is no secret that, whilst the new kit has been well received, it has been revealed very late. As a result, Managing Director Tony Wilson has thanked fans for their patience.
He said: “There were protracted negotiations with a number of potential sponsors around shirt sponsorships for 2019/20, which pushed our deadlines back slightly at the start of pre-season.
“That said, both our home kit and new kit orders have taken longer to reach the club than we would like.
“We hope to have stock of the home shirt for the club shop at the York home fixture on 24 August and are setting a conservative deadline of the last week of August for delivery of pre-orders of the home shirt.
“It goes without saying that we’ll never have this issue again and we’d like to thank our supporters ahead of the start of the season for their enthusiasm. The entire club can’t wait to get kicked off.”
