Spennymoor defender and club captain Christopher Mason has joined Blyth Spartans on a month loan deal.

Mason, who missed the entirety of last season due to injury, has been at Moors for ten years, memorably lifting the FA Vase at Wembley in 2013.

The 33-year-old has made over 300 appearances for the club, last playing against Kidderminster Harriers in April 2018.

Moors manager Jason Ainsley said: “We wish Chris well during his spell with Blyth, and we hope he comes back to us after gaining valuable minutes after being out for a season.”
