Spennymoor Town has entered into a partnership with a leading UK housebuilder.

Avant Homes has been revealed as sponsor of the Moors’ brand-new away kit.

The mint green number, which will be available for supporters to buy in coming weeks, was chosen by the club’s management team and manufactured by Italian brand Errea in a kit deal arranged by club sponsor Motif8 Embroidery and Print.

Avant Homes’ logo is also emblazoned on the club’s yellow “third kit”, which was popular during its use in the 2018/19 season and is synonymous with the club’s run to the final of the Vanarama National League North play-offs.

Tony Wilson, Managing Director of Spennymoor Town FC, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Avant Homes and I’d like to publicly thank the company for supporting a non-league football club.

“It is rare for a brand with such prestige to get involved at this level and it is testament to how much Avant cares about the communities in which it operates.  We’re proud that this football club is a large part of life within the town and I’m sure Avant are equally as pleased to be associated with the exciting sporting journey we have been on.  That journey is by no means over and I’ve enjoyed bringing the senior team at Avant up to date with our five-year plan.

“They were particularly interested in the work we are doing in the community, from providing sporting and educational pathways for young people of all ages, genders and abilities to launching our new ladies team.  There’s a lot more to come from us in this area and Avant see this as something the business wants to support, which is admirable.

“We are categorising this as a partnership rather than sponsorship because we don’t just accept money and say thanks at Spennymoor.  We are passionate about helping our sponsors get maximum exposure by association with the club and I’m sure the team at Avant will see this investment as money well spent come May.”
