After cruising to a 5-0 win over Blyth on Tuesday evening Moors have the chance to record back to back wins for the first time this season when they travel to Bradford (Park Avenue).
The Horsfall Stadium has been a happy hunting ground for away sides so far this campaign, with Guiseley, Kidderminster, AFC Telford and Farsley Celtic all recording wins and scoring a combined total of 14 goals. Blyth are the only side not to leave with maximum points after a goalless draw.
The Yorkshire side, who were beaten in the play-off’s by Moors in May, currently sit one place above the drop zone and four points away from Spennymoor. On paper, it provides a perfect chance for a first away win of the campaign, however, the National League North is proving more competitive than ever so far this season.
With a week of cup action around the corner this is a chance to build some momentum after a slow start to the season, and after a clinical and ruthless display on Tuesday, confidence will be high ahead of the trip.

OPPOSITION
After back to back appearances in the play-off’s over the last two seasons it’s been a tough start to this campaign for Bradford (Park Avenue). The play-off knockout phase defeat at The Brewery Field now feels a long time ago following a rough opening month. Former Bradford City winger Garry Thompson was sacked as manager after just two games – heavy 5-0 defeats to both Curzon Ashton and Guiseley – and was replaced by Marcus Law as interim boss.

- Bradford (Park Avenue) has conceded the most goals in the National League North this season (26), an average of 2.6 per game.
- Spennymoor’s two wins this season have arrived in games where their opponents have had a man sent off in the first half.
- Despite defeating BPA 1-0 in the Play-Off Knockout Round in May, Moors lost 0-1 at The Horsfall Stadium in August and 0-2 at The Brewery in March in the two league meetings between the sides.
- Moors have scored more goals (14) than seven of the 18 sides above them in the division.
- Adam Boyes has scored in back to back games for Moors for the first time since he netted against Hereford on 29th September 2018 then against Ashton on 13th October 2018.

Tuesday night was a much needed confidence boost for everyone around the club, no more so than the players. Blyth made life easier for Moors after having Joe Robson sent off for a blatant shirt pull on James Roberts after just 13 minutes. Saying that, playing against ten men can sometimes prove a tricky task, but Moors set aside that myth and put Spartans to the sword with an utterly dominant display.
It’s probably the most comfortable I have ever seen a Moors side since I arrived at the club in July 2017, with the visitors recording just one shot and registering nothing on target. Despite the huge level of comfort it was great to see every player in a black and white shirt continue to press the ball and stay focused for the full ninety minutes. That is clearly something that Jason and his management team have been getting across to the lads, and it is certainly paying off.
The trip to Bradford (Park Avenue) represents another chance for Moors to claim three points against a side who have struggled at home this season and conceded at a rapid rate. But on the flip side, Moors are yet to win on the road this season in five attempts. I fully expect three points to come back to County Durham on Saturday.

The turnstiles open around an hour and a half before kick off and are located at either end of the ground on Cemetery Road and Park Road. Matchday prices for league games are as follows:
Adults – £10
Concessions/Students – £8
Under 17’s – £1
The Horsfall Stadium is not segregated unless otherwise stated.
Refreshments
The Clubhouse will be open before and after the game which has a fully-licensed bar offering a range of beers, real ales and spirits. The Clubhouse also hosts a giant TV screen showing a range of sports on via BT Sports. The Avenue Café is located next to the Clubhouse and serves a range of hot food and drinks.
Toilets
Toilets can be found next to the Club Shop, next to the Pavilion (changing rooms) opposite the main stand or in the Clubhouse. Please note the only disabled toilets are in the Clubhouse.
DIRECTIONS
Directions By Car:
Leave the M62 at junction 26 and follow signs for the M606. Continue on the M606 to junction 3 and take the A6117 exit to Ring Road West. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit on to Rooley Lane / A6036 signposted Halifax. Pass the Odsal Stadium on the left hand side and at the next roundabout take the 3rd exit on to Halifax Road / A6036 signposted Halifax. After approximately one mile turn left down Cemetery Road immediately before the Kinderhaven Children’s Nursery, and the ground is 150 yards on the left. We have a car park which will be signposted off Cemetery Road and parking charges may apply.
Directions By Train:
Bradford Interchange rail station is the nearest to the ground and trains operate on the Calder Valley Line timetable from Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Manchester, Preston and York.
From there you can catch the bus directly to the ground (details below).
Bradford Forster Square rail station There are regular services from Leeds (Leeds-Bradford Line timetable), Skipton (Airedale Line timetable) and Ilkley (Wharfedale Line timetable).
From Forster Square it is a 10 minute walk to Bradford Interchange bus station for a bus onwards to the stadium.
