Jason Ainsley revealed the extent of the growing injury list following yesterday’s 2-1 victory over Kidderminster Harriers at The Brewery Field.
As well as seeing Stephen Brogan and James Curtis forced off with injuries, Andrew Johnson had to be stretchered off the pitch after the final whistle.
In his post match interview with Moors TV, Ainsley said: “It’s a recurrence of his groin injury that he picked up last year, and that just typifies AJ as he did it tracking back in the last minute to get a tackle in. It just sums our luck up at the moment.
“It’s devastating news for him because it looks like it’s going to be long term.
“Callum Williams is still out, Shane Henry has a long term injury and Scott Harrison will be out for the season. The lads who have been missing out of the team will now get a chance and they have to take it.”
