Williams joins Morpeth in permanent deal

Defender Callum Williams has joined Northern Premier Division side Morpeth Town on a permanent deal.
Williams, 22, was brought in by Jason Ainsley in the summer of 2018 ahead of Moors’ second season in the National League North after his release from Newcastle United.
He made 32 appearances last season, including starts in all the club’s play-off games in May, but injuries have restricted him to just six appearances in all competitions this campaign.
Moors manager Jason Ainsley said: “Callum has had limited game time this season due to injuries, but he played an integral part last season.
“He is a fantastic lad who needs to play week in week out, and with the performances of Carl and Jake, we could’t offer him that.
“Myself and everyone at the club wish him all the best at Morpeth.”
