New management for Moors hospitality

Spennymoor Town has strengthened the hospitality offering across its venues with the addition of an experienced Group General Manager.
Matthew Hannon, 35, has joined the club after spending 10 years at Bowburn Hall, part of club partner Ramside Estates.
Hannon, from Durham, started this week with a remit to further enhance events and hospitality performance across The Brewery Field, The new Sports Bar and the Moors Tavern.
He joins after a successful decade as Duty Manager with Bowburn.
Tony Wilson, Managing Director at Spennymoor Town FC, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Matthew into the club.  He’s going to add a boat load of experience in driving operational excellence, having come from a company with such pedigree.
“He will be looking at what we offer through the Tavern on a non-matchday as well as what our wonderful new Sports Bar’s offer will be.
“Matthew has worked with Ramside on our matchdays already for a couple of years.  He was the absolute perfect fit when we created this role and quickly made himself the clear choice to hire.  We wish him every success with the club.”
Hannon has expressed his delight at joining a club he has followed for many years with an opportunity to positively affect its upward momentum.
He said: “When the opportunity arose to join a club with the ambition that Spennymoor has, with all the infrastructure that is in place, it was a no-brainer for me.
“I am looking forward to being a part of a football club and I feel that the experience I can bring will help us offer more for supporters, both in the quality of our hospitality and the frequency of events and engagement opportunities.”
