Moors sign Bermudan goalkeeper Eve

Spennymoor Town has signed 24-year-old former Stoke City and Forest Green Rovers goalkeeper Dale Eve.
Eve, born in Pembroke Parish in Bermuda, moved to England to play for Derby County’s youth side in 2011 before catching the attention of Stoke City.
The Potters signed him on a two-year development contract before he penned a professional deal in May 2012, before spells at Fleetwood Town, Nuneaton Town, Newcastle Town, Congleton Town and Forest Green Rovers.
Following his release from Stoke, Eve made a permanent switch to Rovers and was part of the squad that reached the National League Play-Off Final at Wembley in 2016.
Eve has represented his country 15 times, making his debut in November 2011 against Barbados after rising through the youth ranks.
Moors’ Assistant Manager Tommy Miller was delighted to bring Eve into the squad. He said: “Dale has trained with us the last few weeks and has done very well.
“He has played for the Bermudan national team and has been highly recommended to us, and with other clubs chasing his signature from higher divisions, we are delighted he has decided to join us for the rest of the season.
“He adds competition to the goalkeepers we already have in the squad and he is looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
