Board thanks supporters as club refunds season tickets

The club has now processed and completed all refunds that were requested by season ticket holders in exchange for the three missed league games at the end of last season.

The deadline for applications was the end of June and we are pleased to have been able to confirm and complete the exercise within 48 hours of applications closing.

Adam Brown, Director of Marketing and Communications, said: “We were clear from the outset that we felt it our duty to offer this possibility to our loyal season ticket holders.

“The majority have left their outstanding value with the club in the form of a donation, for which we are extremely grateful at a time when non league football is struggling.  On behalf of the club’s board I’d like to say thank you.

“Equally, those who chose to apply for a refund did so with our full support.

“The process went very smoothly and I’d also like to thank the Spennymoor Town officials who played their part in getting this money back to the supporters promptly during a time of crisis for everyone.

“The Chief Executive’s end of season column two weeks ago summarised our stance for next season as we make football in County Durham affordable for all.  We are looking forward to sharing the plans we are putting in place across our academy, ladies’ team and men’s team to ensure we deliver on that promise and we will do so, as well as season ticket news for next season, as soon as we can.”
