Moors’ latest partnership set for take-off

Spennymoor Town has welcomed a high-profile new sponsor this week as the club continues to build its business partnerships ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Teesside International Airport is the Moors’ sleeve sponsor on the first team’s new kit for match days and will also be visible around The Brewery Field.

The match-worn Errea kit will feature the airport’s logo emblazoned on the left arm of both home and away shirts, signalling the start of a new partnership.

The agreement will see the two organisations working together on the club’s travel logistics for potential future journeys in cup competitions, whilst the airport will gain a useful advertising stream through several of the club’s channels.

There will be signage erected within The Brewery Field featuring the Teesside Airport logo and the Airport will use the club’s new mega-screen to promote deals and promotions once supporters are permitted to return to football grounds.

Tony Wilson, Managing Director of Spennymoor Town, said: “The Airport is something that the area is rightly proud of.

“We see it as a coup to have attracted a sponsor of such standing and it is testament to the exciting plans we have for the club that the team have said they want to be involved for years to come.

“This is just the start of what we hope will be a fruitful partnership benefiting both parties.  We have some more great partnerships in the pipeline, which we hope to be able to announce soon.”

Phil Forster, Commercial Director at Teesside International Airport, said: “We’re proud to be sponsoring Spennymoor Town FC for its coming season.

“This deal will help us get the Teesside International message out to even more potential passengers in the North East and advertise us as a destination further afield during away games. It will highlight our ever-growing number of great routes for businesses and holidaymakers to those who may not live in Tees Valley but want to fly with us.”
