Darlington game postponed following pitch inspection

Spennymoor Town’s National League North game against Darlington has been postponed following unforecast snowfall overnight.

A match official conducted an inspection at 11am this morning and deemed the surface unplayable.

Extensive efforts were made in the days prior to make sure the game went ahead, with the excellent work of our ground staff and volunteers making the surface playable on Friday afternoon.

The club would like to thank all those who gave up their time over the last two days to get the pitch to a playable condition.

The game will now be rearranged for a later date.

Those who have purchased a streaming pass for today’s game will receive a full refund, with further information to be announced in due course.

Moors are set to host Hereford at The Brewery Field on Tuesday 5th January, with a 7.45pm kick off. The match will be streamed live on Moors TV, with details to follow.
