Spennymoor Town Football Club would like to thank the 1012 supporters who attended Saturday’s friendly against Sunderland AFC for their co-operation, understanding and behaviour over the course of the afternoon.

The supporters in attendance provided a fantastic atmosphere that has been sorely missed since Saturday 14th March 2020, the previous occasion fans were inside The Brewery Field.

Regrettably, the club were obliged to put measures in place which were at times frustrating, however, everyone in attendance played their part and were a credit to the club.

The club is delighted to report positive feedback from officials at Sunderland AFC and the Police, both of who were complementary of the welcome they received and the exemplary conduct on display.

Moors’ next home pre-season fixture is against Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday 13th July, with a 7pm kick-off.
