Spennymoor Town has completed the signing of former Hartlepool United defender Aaron Cunningham.
The 23-year-old was a free agent following his release from Pools in the summer, and has experience of the National League North following three separate loan spells at Blyth Spartans.
The central defender netted against Moors at The Brewery Field in January 2019 during his first stint at Croft Park.
Moors were hit with another defensive injury on Saturday when Carl Magnay limped off towards the end of the 2-2 draw with Curzon Ashton.
This followed previous injuries to John Lufudu and James Curtis, with the former returning to action on Saturday at The Brewery Field.
After adding to his defensive options, Manager Tommy Miller said: “I am delighted that Aaron has agreed to join us at Spennymoor.
“We have been trying to get another defender in over the last few weeks, and by bringing in Aaron we have someone who gives us good options as he can play anywhere across the back line.
“Having played at a higher level with Hartlepool and with his experience at Blyth, he knows all about the National League North.
“He was released from Pools in the summer and after recovering from an operation he is ready to kick on with us. He is a welcome addition to the squad.”
Cunningham goes straight into tonight’s squad to face AFC Fylde.
