Spennymoor Town has signed midfielder Luke Spokes on a three-month loan from National League side Grimsby Town.
The 23-year-old goes straight into Tommy Miller’s squad for this Saturday’s National League North fixture against Gateshead.
Spokes, born in Bristol, began his career in the Southern League Division One South with Mangotsfield United before spells at Yate Town and Taunton Town in the league above.
He signed his first professional contract with Ian Holloway’s Grimsby Town in September 2020, going on to make 20 appearances in all competitions during the 2020/21 campaign.
The midfielder spent one month on loan at Boston United earlier this season, making six appearances with The Pilgrims.
Miller said: “Luke has Football League experience and will add to our midfield options over the next three months.
“I would like to thank Paul Hurst for allowing him to join us and we wish him all the best for his time at The Brewery Field.”
