Moors sign winger Oyibo

Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley’s first signing for the club is 23-year-old winger Jude Oyibo.

Oyibo played under the managerial duo at Chester after signing for the Blues this summer, making 17 appearances for the club, which included three starts, with his only goal coming against Spennymoor earlier this month.

The tricky winger’s career got underway at Stalybridge Celtic, before moving on to Glossop North End. He then played 49 times at Buxton, scoring eight goals, which saw him move up to the sixth tier with Alfreton Town.

He has also had spells at Curzon Ashton, Altrincham and Stockport Town.

After sealing the move, Oyibo said: “Having worked under the two managers here at Chester I knew this would be a good move for me and my career moving forward.

“The squad is full of talented and experienced players at this level and I know the ambitions of the club are high both on and off the pitch.

“I am a direct and skilful player and I like to entertain the crowd if I can. The aim is to help the team achieve their targets and get plenty of games under my belt.”

Joint Manager Bernard Morley said: “Jude offers us something we don’t currently have in the squad. He is direct, skilful and likes to take on his man.

“We have obviously worked with Jude during our time at Chester and feel he can add something to the crop of players we currently have at our disposal.

“He scored a great goal against Spennymoor earlier in the season and that showcased what he could do. He is a crowd pleaser and I’m sure the fans will enjoy watching him.”

Oyibo will wear the number 18 shirt for the club.
