Kenton Richardson will remain with Spennymoor for the rest of the season after Sunderland agreed to extend his previous loan period.

Richardson, 22, has started all eleven games since initially joining on loan in late November and has cemented himself as a regular in Moors’ back four.

The defender has featured centrally and on the right, with his performances earning high praise from both the management team and supporters.

Richardson was selected as Spennymoor’s Man of the Match in the 1-1 draw with Boston United earlier this month.

The club would like to thank Sunderland for allowing the extension of Richardson’s loan.
