SPENNYMOOR TOWN

Moors head to East London this weekend aiming to reach the last eight of the FA Trophy for just the second time, however, they must first navigate past National League outfit Dagenham & Redbridge.
Following a late postponement against Chorley on Tuesday evening, Moors will be in action for the first time in a fortnight, a timeframe which has seen The Daggers suffer back-to-back defeats against Halifax and Chesterfield.
Those results leave Daryl McMahon’s side 10th in the National League table, with Moors heading into the cup clash in 13th place in the National League North, meaning there are 26 places between the two.
Spennymoor will be without the cup-tied trio of Claudio Ofosu, Jude Oyibo and Jordan Thewlis, and are waiting on the fitness of midfielder Brad Abbott.
Joint-Manager Anthony Johnson has spoken about being underdogs. He said: “It gives a good gauge as to where we are at across the board, in comparison to a team in a higher division.”
