Dyce joins on loan from Black Cats

Spennymoor has signed Tyrese Dyce from Sunderland AFC on a loan-deal until the end of the season.

Dyce, 20, has played the majority of his career at left back but can play further up the field and in numerous positions.

A product of West Bromwich Albion’s academy programme, Dyce played twice in the EFL Trophy during the 2020/21 season for The Baggies’ Under 23 side.

Following his release from The Hawthorns, Sunderland swooped for the youngster on a free transfer and Dyce linked up with The Black Cats’ Under 23’s.

He made his senior professional debut on 10 October 2021 in an EFL Trophy victory over Manchester United U23’s, scoring in a 2-1 win.

Joint Manager Anthony Johnson said: “Tyrese is someone we enquired about when we first got the job here at Spennymoor.

He’s a player who was on our radar through our various scouts at the Under 23 level of the game.

He’s a quick and direct left sided player who likes to join in with attacks from deep, and he will give us another dimension from both defensive and offensive points of view.”

Moors TV will be speaking to Tyrese on Saturday following his move to the club.
