Moors launch new volunteer scheme

Spennymoor Town is delighted to launch a new volunteer scheme package as preparations begin for the 2022/23 season.

The club are offering a range of discounts and perks across a variety of opportunities both on matchdays and non-matchdays.

The Brewery Field has benefited from a pool of dedicated and committed volunteers over the years, with people of all ages undergoing roles from hospitality to groundwork.

As pre-season draws closer, the club are looking for enthusiastic individuals to help across a number of areas.

These include painting, cleaning and preparing The Brewery Field in time for the club’s first pre-season friendly against Doncaster Rovers on Wednesday 13th July.

There are also openings to get involved within the club’s media department, ranging from writing, audio, filming and editing roles.

General Manager Ian Geldard said: “We have been fortunate enough to have a number of excellent volunteers in recent seasons who all played their part in the match day experience and delivery of the clubs off-field objectives.

“Ahead of another exciting new campaign we are looking for a new generation of volunteers to assist us across several different areas.

“With pre-season set to begin in less than a month we are actively looking for people to join us and become part of the Moors family.

“The added perks reflect the value we place on volunteers and we look forward to welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds to The Brewery Field.”

Spennymoor Town volunteer scheme includes:

  • Match day ticket allocation for selected games
  • Vouchers for Neil Adams Sports Bar
  • Club shop discount
  • Invite to club events
