We take a look at all the key facts and figures ahead of this evening’s National League North meeting with Alfreton Town at The Brewery Field.

Spennymoor Town v Alfreton Town
Tuesday 16th August 2022, 7.45pm
National League North
The Brewery Field

In Opposition
Alfreton Town have started the new season in similar fashion to Spennymoor Town by registering back-to-back National League North draws.

Billy Heath’s side were involved in an entertaining 2-2 draw with Buxton on the opening day, before taking a point in a goalless draw at Farsley Celtic at the weekend.

Having finished within touching distance of the play-off positions last time around, Heath has strengthened his squad in a bid to lead The Reds back to the fifth tier for the first time since their relegation in 2015.

One To Watch
Tom Denton has made an encouraging start to his most recent spell with Alfreton Town when he scored twice on the opening day in their 2-2 draw with Buxton.

The 6ft 7ins front man has been on the books of The Reds twice previously before returning during the summer following a four-year stint at Chesterfield.

A physical and determined competitor, Moors defenders will have to be on their guard against Denton in this evening’s game at The Brewery Field.

On The Whistle
The man in the middle this for this evening’s game is Darius Bradley and he will be assisted by Kieran Downey and David Holmes.
