We take a look at everything you need to know ahead of the Bank Holiday Monday action in our in-depth preview of Moors’ National League North trip to The Horsfall Stadium.

Bradford (Park Avenue) v Spennymoor Town
Monday 29th August 2022, 3pm
National League North
The Horsfall Stadium

In Opposition
Bradford (Park Avenue) have made a slow start to the new National League North campaign, and they currently lie 23rd in the table having collected three points from their opening five games.

Park Avenue are still searching for their first victory of 2022/23 having lost both of their home fixtures so far, whilst drawing all three they’ve played on their travels.

Mark Bower’s side battled to a goalless draw at Chorley on Saturday, and they’ll be hoping to back that up by providing their home fans with some Bank Holiday Monday cheer against Moors.

One To Watch
Park Avenue have managed just three goals so far this term but will be hoping experienced front man Jacob Blyth can find form in front of goal and help them improve that record.

The 30-year-old summer signing has played in the Football League and in the top flight in Scotland before most recently turning out in the colours of Chorley.

Head To Head
There have been nine meetings between the two clubs over the course of the last five seasons and the record shows three Moors wins, three Bradford wins and three draws.

Park Avenue took four points off Moors last term; a 1-1 draw at The Horsfall Stadium last November was followed up by their impressive 2-0 win at The Brewery Field back in April.

Moors’ last victory over the West Yorkshire outfit was in the 2019/20 campaign a Mark Anderson double and another goal from Rob Ramshaw secured a 3-0 home triumph despite Carl Magnay’s late red card.

On The Whistle
Michael Crusham will be taking charge of Monday’s game at The Horsfall Stadium and he will be assisted by Umar Ahmed and Michael Trevethan.

Tickets
