Moors’ Under-18s enjoyed a dramatic win over Blyth Spartans at The Brewery Field on Wednesday night to clinch their place in the next stage of the FA Youth Cup.

Over 200 supporters came along to support the youngsters as they hosted Spartans and they were treated to a thoroughly absorbing and competitive contest.

Moors went in front early in the second half when Riley Mouat slipped Charlie Twinn through on goal and the forward slipped a neat finish under the goalkeeper.

The visitors looked to have taken the tie to penalties when Rio Joisce curled home a brilliant free-kick in the final minute of normal time.

However, Moors snatched an incredible winner deep into stoppage time when a goalmouth scramble following a corner ended with the ball being forced home and Joe Naylor running off in celebration.
