Ladies Clinch Signing Of Striker

Moors Ladies have further boosted their squad ahead of the big kick-off this weekend after completing the signing of striker Holly Middleton.

Billy Shackleton’s side begin their new North East Regional Women’s Football League Northern Division campaign with a trip to Hartlepool United on Sunday.

And the Moors boss has moved to bolster his options with the arrival of Middleton, who has impressed since joining the Club on a pre-season trial.

“I’m really pleased to be able to bring Holly in,” admitted Shackleton.

“She’s a quick, versatile player who will give us depth in a number of positions across the pitch.

“Holly has really impressed with her maturity and her willingness to work hard so I’ve no doubt she will prove to be a great addition to our squad.”

Middleton was thrilled to put pen to paper with Moors and the 17-year-old forward has insisted she wants to play her part in a successful season for the Club.

“I’m really excited to be part of such an ambitious Football Club,” she explained.

“All of the girls have been so welcoming, and we all have a united focus this season and that is to go and achieve promotion.

“I’m really looking forward to working with the staff the Club has in place – they have created a supportive and aspiring environment which I feel lucky to be part of.”
