John Lufudu has insisted that if Moors can maintain the standard of performance they produced at AFC Fylde on Tuesday night they will quickly begin to climb the National League North table.
The full-back was handed his first start of the season at Mill Farm as Moors came within a whisker of taking all three points only to be thwarted by a late fightback from The Coasters and a dubious penalty.
Goals from Rob Ramshaw and Glen Taylor had put Lufudu and his teammates in the driving seat but a double from the dangerous Nick Haughton, including an 89th minute spot kick ensured the game finished 2-2.
Despite the frustration of being pegged back, Lufudu was able to take the positives from a night when Moors became just the second team this season to take something home from Fylde.
