The return of the school year also heralded a comeback for our popular youth engagement sessions hosted weekly at Spennymoor Youth & Community Centre and Tudhoe Community Centre.

Moors in the Community are proud to have linked-up with the two local community centres to help provide the sessions for children aged from 8 through to 16.

The sessions provide the opportunity for youngsters to enjoy playing sports such as football and dodgeball, while they can also play on games consoles and socialise with friends.

Tudhoe Community Centre
Every Monday between 5pm and 6.15pm Tudhoe Community Centre hosts a session for 8 to 12-year-olds. There is no charge for those who come along, plus free food will be provided.

The Centre also runs a free drop-in session immediately afterwards at 6.15pm to 7pm for children over the age of 11.

Spennymoor Youth & Community Centre
The sessions in Spennymoor are hosted every Wednesday between 6pm and 8pm – and all those aged between 11 and 16 are welcome to attend.

There is a charge of 30p per session and a tuck shop is also available within the Centre.
