Moors Complete Move For Reece Kendall

Moors boss Jason Ainsley has completed a swoop to sign highly rated left-back Reece Kendall for an undisclosed fee from Matlock Town.

Ainsley has been working hard behind the scenes to strengthen the squad and has now got a deal over the line to bring the talented 23-year-old to The Brewery Field.

Kendall has been with Matlock since 2019 when he made a move from Brighouse Town and he’s been among their star performers during the last three seasons.

Comfortable at left-back or as a wing-back, Kendall’s outstanding displays last term earned him a call-up to the England C squad for their game against Wales in March.

Dependable in defence, Kendall is also a threat going forward and helped himself to an impressive eight goals for Matlock last season, whilst he has already hit the target twice this term.

The move is subject to the usual FA and National League clearance, with the new arrival hoping to be in contention for Saturday’s National League North game against Banbury United.
