Amber Hopps Signs For Moors Ladies

Moors Ladies have moved to strengthen their squad with the news Amber Hopps has completed a return to the Club.

The versatile performer, who can play in a number of positions across midfield and attack, has linked-up with Moors following a spell on the books at Consett.

Hopps is already a familiar face for those in the current squad and she is expected to go straight into contention for this Sunday’s NERWFL fixture against Chester-le-Street United at The Brewery Field.

“As soon as we heard Amber had left Consett, I was keen to get in touch and bring her in because I know what she can add,” explained boss Billy Shackleton.

“She’s a great player who will excite spectators, she will give us depth in a number of positions and we’re hoping she can hit the ground running having played alongside some of the girls already.”

Hopps is delighted to have clinched a return to the Club and is now looking forward to doing her bit as Shackleton’s side look to put pressure on the sides above them in the Northern Division table.

“I’m buzzing to be back!” she told us.

“I’ve spoken to some of the girls and the manager, and those conversations have made me really excited to get back into training with the squad.

“The coaching standing has been brilliant, and I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it again and it’s good to see there is a real ambition in the staff and the squad.”

Sunday’s game at The Brewery Field is a 2pm kick-off and admission is just £3 for adults and it’s free for Under-12s.
