Spennymoor Town v Gloucester City
Saturday 5th November 2022, 3pm
National League North
The Brewery Field

In Opposition
Steven King has had an excellent start as boss of Gloucester City since arriving to succeed Lee Mansell just over a month ago.

The Tigers have enjoyed a brilliant October, collecting an impressive 13 points from a possible 15 before Monday’s surprise defeat at Bradford (Park Avenue).

It’s a sequence of form which has seen King’s men storm up the National League North table from 15th at the end of September to lie 5th ahead of this weekend’s trip to The Brewery Field.

One To Watch
Experienced front man Matt McClure certainly knows where the goal is and has already hit double figures for The Tigers this term.

McClure was National League North’s top scorer in his first season with City back in 2020/21 after joining the club from Maidstone United.

Head To Head
This will be the sixth competitive encounter between the two clubs, with the first meeting coming as recently as October 2019 when Moors ran out 5-1 winners.

Last season’s meeting between the sides at The Brewery Field finished goalless.

On The Whistle
The man in the middle this afternoon will be Richard Aspinall, and he will be assisted by Lewis Reynolds and Sam Parnaby.

Tickets are on sale in advance online to both home and away supporters – buying online being the easy and straightforward way to buy for this weekend’s fixture.

Fans will also be able to pay by cash or card on the turnstiles at The Brewery Field prior to kick-off.

Live Coverage
Fans all over the world will be able to enjoy live audio commentary of Saturday’s game as we continue our hugely successful partnership with Durham OnAir.

Mark Simpson and David Leitch will be live from The Brewery Field from 2.50pm with supporters able to access the live coverage online, via the Durham OnAir app, on DAB radio or on Freeview Channel 277.

Moors have been installed as 6/5 favourites for victory on Saturday, while visitors Gloucester City are a 9/5 shot for three points and you can back a draw at odds of 11/5.
