Moors Ladies will aim to make it eight unbeaten on Sunday afternoon when they make the trip to face second-placed Norton & Stockton Ancients Reserves (2pm kick-off).
Billy Shackleton’s side have been in brilliant form in recent weeks and were left frustrated by a postponement last weekend when their game against Hartlepool United fell victim to the weather.
Now they’re preparing to go head-to-head with another promotion rival, and they know they can draw level on points with their hosts with victory on Sunday.
“It will be tough going into this game after not playing last Sunday,” admitted Shackleton.
“But we’ve got a little winter break after this one so it’s an opportunity for us to go into that on a real high if we can get a positive result.
“Norton are a top side, and they will pose a big threat to us, but I know we can hurt them, and we can’t afford to be afraid of them in any way.”
The Moors boss will remain without long-term injury absentees Monika Kisicka, Julia McGovern and Drew Seymour, while Sophie Farrugia is also unavailable this weekend.
Sunday’s game is a 2pm kick-off and will take place at Norton’s home ground on Station Road.
