Niah Payne Joins Hednesford On Loan

Moors attacker Niah Payne has joined Hednesford Town on a two-month loan deal.

The 24-year-old joined Moors in the summer following a spell with Peterhead but has found his First Team opportunities limited and spent time on loan at Warrington Rylands earlier in the season.

Now boss Jason Ainsley has given the green light for the forward to move again and he will now remain with Hednesford until the early part of February.

“He’s had limited game time and he’s spent some time out injured so it’s been stop-start for Niah,” Ainsley explained.

“We’ve been able to bring the likes of Tom Allan, Paul Blackett and Corey McKeown in, but Niah wants to prove himself to the Club by going out there on loan and scoring some goals.

“Hopefully he can go to Hednesford and get some minutes on the pitch and then can come back to us fresh, so we wish him well and we’ll keep an eye on his progress.”

Subject to clearance, Payne should go into contention to make a debut for The Pitmen in their Southern League Premier Central fixture at Redditch United on Saturday.
