Spennymoor Town v Bradford (Park Avenue)
Saturday 14th January 2023, 3pm
National League North
The Brewery Field

In Opposition
Bradford (Park Avenue) come into the weekend’s game knowing that victory at The Brewery Field can move them level on points with Moors in the National League North table.

Mark Bower’s side have been in solid form recently and have not tasted league defeat in six games stretching back as far as November so will make the trip to County Durham in good spirits.

Their last three outings have all ended in draws but they have certainly steadied the ship and shown big improvement after a slow start to the current campaign.

One To Watch
Jacob Blyth joined Bradford (Park Avenue) during the summer and the experienced front man is a player Moors will have to keep the shackles on at The Brewery Field this weekend.

The 30-year-old has been in decent form recently too, scoring in their 2-2 draw at Farsley Celtic on New Year’s Day as well as nabbing the dramatic late winner in their astonishing 3-2 triumph at Buxton last month.

Blyth has EFL experienced having played at the higher level on loan at Burton Albion, Notts County, Northampton Town, Cambridge United and Blackpool whilst on the books at Leicester City.

Head To Head
Moors ground out a fantastic 1-0 win when the sides met at The Horsfall Stadium earlier in the season when Jude Oyibo’s goal just before half time proved enough to clinch three points.

However, The Green Army took victory on their last visit to The Brewery Field last April as two second half goals did the damage before James Curtis was sent-off late on.

On The Whistle
Shaun Taylor is the man in the middle for Saturday’s game at The Brewery Field, and he will be assisted by Liam Smith and David Holmes.
