Club Secures Partnership With McDonald’s

Moors in the Community have agreed an exciting partnership with McDonald’s which will see the multinational food giants supporting the Club’s community outreach programme.

McDonald’s have already begun to help Moors in the Community with the delivery of its projects by providing valuable equipment to be used at multiple School Holiday Camps over the next year.

As part of the link-up, McDonald’s have also pledged to provide one day of a week of free dinners for all the young people who attend Moors in the Community’s Holiday Camps.

“To partner with a major company like McDonald’s is a true testament to how far Moors in the Community has come in a six-month period,” said Luke Cowie, the Club’s Community Development Manager.

“We are starting to get noticed more and more by big companies, through the great work we are doing in Spennymoor and across the surrounding areas.

“Richard and Joy at McDonald’s have been amazing throughout our discussions about working together and in providing the equipment we need for our School Holiday Camps.

“Without them, we wouldn’t have been able to get this off the ground so I am really excited about this partnership and looking forward to what the future holds for us working together.”

Richard Haddlesey, Area Manager for McDonald’s added: “Partnering with such a forward-thinking, proactive Club in Moors, gives Thinford McDonald’s the chance to really make a difference within the community.

“I hope this partnership grows immensely over the forthcoming months and years, and enables many young boys and girls to enjoy sport even more.”
