McCauley Snelgrove Joins Moors On Loan

Jason Ainsley has moved to strengthen his attacking options with the signing of young forward McCauley Snelgrove on a one-month loan deal from Hull City.

The 20-year-old Hull-born front man has been on the books of his hometown club since he was an Under-9 and has progressed through the ranks to sign his first professional contract in 2021.

A regular for The Tigers’ Under-23s side, Snelgrove gained senior experience with a loan spell at Cleethorpes Town in 2021/22 and also spent time on loan at NIFL Premiership side Crusaders earlier this season where he scored twice in ten appearances before being recalled.

Moors boss Ainsley has been keen to add another striker to his squad and that move has been accelerated after Glen Taylor was forced off with a facial injury during Saturday’s game.

Snelgrove has been handed number 26 and is eligible to make his Moors debut in Tuesday night’s Durham Challenge Cup tie against Dunston at The UTS Stadium.
