In Opposition
Scarborough Athletic have enjoyed an impressive debut campaign in National League North having won promotion via the play-offs in 2021/22.

The Seadogs finished third in the Northern Premier League last term before earning their elevation with victories over Matlock Town and Warrington Town.

Jonathan Greening’s side have successfully maintained the momentum from their promotion and carried it into 2022/23 to put themselves in a position to challenge for a place in the National League.

Scarborough arrived at The Brewery Field sitting fifth in the table but keen to put things right after their surprise defeat to Farsley Celtic in midweek.

One To Watch
Lewis Maloney is not on the man who makes things tick in the Scarborough Athletic midfield but the former Gateshead man is also capable of scoring spectacular goals.

Moors fell victim to this earlier in the season when Maloney thrashed home their opening goal in the 2-2 draw at The Flamingo Land Stadium and he’s found the net an impressive eight times in the league during 2022/23.

Head To Head
The two sides shared the spoils when they faced each other at The Flamingo Land Stadium earlier in the season as Moors came from 2-0 down to rescue a point thanks to John Lufudu’s late goal.

This weekend will be The Seadogs’ first league visit to The Brewery Field since 2014/15, while the sides also met in the FA Vase back in 2010.

On The Whistle
Matthew McQuillan will be the man in the middle at The Brewery Field on Saturday, and he will be assisted by Iain Turner and David Holmes.
