This afternoon’s game against Peterborough Sports has been given the go-ahead after a morning pitch inspection at The Brewery Field.
Local referee Andrew Miller was at the stadium to take a look at 10am and wasted no time giving the thumbs up to the National League North fixture.
There were big doubts after temperatures plummeted during the week before snow arrived on Wednesday and Thursday to give groundstaff at The Brewery Field a headache.
However, the Club put out on appeal for volunteers and a small army turned up at 7am on Saturday morning to help with efforts to remove snow and ice from the frost covers before moving them from the pitch.
We would like to thank all of those who have given up their time this morning to help in this extraordinary effort to ensure today’s game can be played.
Come on Moors!
