Moors Under-18s Ready For Cup Final

Spennymoor Town’s Under-18s are gearing up for a huge game on Thursday night as they take on their Billingham Town counterparts in the Durham County FA Youth Cup Final.

The Moors youngsters, who earlier in the season reached the First Round Proper of the FA Youth Cup for the first time in the Club’s history, have been enjoying an excellent 2022/23 campaign.

Having made it through to the Final of the Durham County FA Youth Cup, Moors now have the chance to land silverware as they face off against Billingham at Newton Aycliffe FC tonight (7pm kick-off).

Management team Scott Nicholson and Paul Carr have been thrilled by the efforts of the players so far this season and are looking for them to produce their best form in this evening’s big game.

“The lads have been absolutely brilliant all season,” Nicholson told us.

“We’re all really looking forward to the Final because it’s a great opportunity for us to get something out of the season which would be a deserved reward for the efforts everyone has put in.

“The players have gained some great experience during the course of the campaign and it would be lovely to have some silverware so hopefully they can produce a strong performance.”

Admission is just £3 for adults and £1 for concessions so if you can make it along to support the youngsters, we know they would hugely appreciate it.

Good luck, lads!
