Team News: Moors v Brackley Town

We take a look at the latest from the Moors camp ahead of Saturday’s National League North game against Brackley Town at The Brewery Field (3pm kick-off).

Jason Ainsley will run the rule over strike duo Paul Blackett and Glen Taylor as they both hope to be fit to face The Saints this weekend.

Top scorer Taylor has missed the last three games with an ankle injury, while in-form Blackett was forced off just before half time during Tuesday night’s win over Leamington.

However, there is positivity around both players and they will undergo late fitness tests ahead of the game on Saturday to determine whether they can play a part.

A late decision will also be made on John Lufudu who missed Tuesday’s game with an ankle problem, while Dan Langley is back at parent club Newcastle United for treatment as he closes in on a return after sitting out the last two games.

Michael Ledger looks unlikely to feature after injuring his ankle at King’s Lynn Town last Saturday, while Joe Wheatley is doubtful after picking up a groin problem in midweek.

Meanwhile, new loan signings AJ Greaves and Zak Goodson are both registered and move into contention to make their Moors debuts in the game against Brackley.
