The Club is now welcoming applications for the role of Head Groundsperson at Spennymoor Town.
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: £26-28k + bonus + benefits (dependant on experience)
Working within the Operations Team and reporting to the Club Operations Manager, the role is to maintain The Brewery Field pitch and other associated areas and facilities of the Club.
This is a full-time position with the successful candidate able to demonstrate at least two years’ experience within the maintenance of large horticultural sites, in particular sports facilities.
The Head Groundsperson will be responsible for co-ordinating key tasks using a team consisting of another full-time groundsperson, a group of volunteers and supported by others within the Operations Team, where required.
Applicants should also possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Manual Handling Techniques and Awareness Training
- Recognised Horticulture / Turf Management qualifications at the appropriate level
- Award in the Safe use of Pesticides Application Modules PA1, PA2A & PA6A etc.
- GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C or above in both Maths and English
