John Lufudu paid tribute to the Moors fans after he was voted as their Player of the Year at the end of a dramatic final day at The Brewery Field which saw the Club narrowly miss out on the play-offs.

Jason Ainsley’s men were within a few minutes of finishing inside the top seven as they defeated Farsley Celtic 2-1 but late goals elsewhere completely changed the picture in National League North.

In a presentation after the final whistle, Lufudu collected the Fans’ Player of the Year and the Supporters’ Club Player of the Year awards – and admitted he has a special relationship with the supporters.
